SoundSpace: Biosounds @ The Blanton Museum

SoundSpace is a nonlinear concert experience that features multiple simultaneous performances throughout the Blanton’s galleries for approximately two hours.

SoundSpace: Biosounds features music inspired by the sounds and processes of the human body and medical procedures: music that incorporates heartbeats, brainwaves, pacemakers, and the sonification of bio data.

SoundSpace: Biosounds will include a sneak preview performance of The Brain, a brand new composition from Graham Reynolds, just a few days before its NYC World Premiere. Written as part of Golden Hornet’s latest commissioning endeavor, The Sound of Science, the work is based on the science of Neuroscientist Kristen Harris & her lab, the Center for Learning & Memory.

Graham Reynolds & Kate Murray of Golden Hornet, as well as Masa Kuwajima of The Center for Learning & Memory, will be on hand to answer questions about the work and The Sound of Science as a whole.
