String Quartet Smackdown VI

Sevan Gharibian is a 20-year-old Armenian-Lebanese composer who has recently graduated from the Yerevan State Conservatory with a BA in Composition (First Class Honours; Class of Prof. Vartan Adjemian), where he had enrolled at the age of 16. He has won the first prize at the Renaissance International Contest-Festival IX. His string quartet ‘Cedars’ has been recorded within the framework of Golden Hornet’s String Quartet Smackdown VI (Austin, TX). Sevan is a winner of the International Composition Competition ‘The Contemporary Piano’ (2020) organised by AN ART ARTISTRY in Athens with his piece ‘Three Færies’. Sevan’s works, some whereof are published, combine his multicultural experiences with modern and classical approaches, contributing to his unique signature. In addition to his musicianship, he studies Management with Digital Innovation at the University of London.
